The Problem
Finding a rental property in Dhaka often relies on fragmented Facebook groups or physical street signs. There was a critical need for a dedicated, localized web platform that supported the native Bengali language and allowed users to filter listings by precise Dhaka sub-locations securely across both web and mobile devices. With a facility to have real-time chat with property owners, users could make informed decisions quickly and efficiently.
Development Process
Cross-Platform Authentication & Deep Linking
Set up Clerk for secure Google SSO with automated database syncing via Webhooks. Engineered custom Android App Links (assetlinks.json) to bypass strict WebView restrictions, enabling seamless authentication between the web and the Capacitor mobile app.
Serverless Database Architecture
Integrated Prisma ORM with a serverless Neon PostgreSQL database, optimizing relational data fetching for users, properties, and conversation histories to ensure high scalability and low latency.
Real-Time Communications (WebSockets)
Developed a dedicated user dashboard and integrated Pusher WebSockets to enable instant, peer-to-peer chat functionality, allowing property seekers and owners to communicate directly in real-time.
Advanced Search & Sub-Location Mapping
Engineered a highly specific filtering system using a compiled constant file of Dhaka sub-locations, querying the database to deliver lightning-fast, localized search results..
API Security & Robust Data Validation
Built strict property posting forms using React Hook Form and Zod for data integrity. Configured Next.js Middleware with Upstash Redis to manage rate limiting, actively preventing API abuse and handling custom error states.
